Shane Wolf is an American artist born in 1976 in Cincinnati, he works in Montreuil in eastern Paris.

A first university course in graphic design led him to work for major French industrial brands. He then settled in Annecy while preparing a world tour that he would undertake four years later, allowing him to develop a unique attraction and talent for drawing. An admission in 2005 to the prestigious Angel Academy of Art attracted him again to the European continent, to Florence where he studied academic painting techniques according to the teachings of the great masters of the Renaissance.

Graduated and noticed, he will teach there in 2009.

Shane Wolf returned to France in 2010 and is almost exclusively interested in the anatomy of human bodies based on living models. He is distinguished by a particular intention focused on our own image, that of living beings, or of 'beings, quite simply. Captivating, Shane Wolf's works celebrate movement, strength and vital energy. Striking, his manner leads the viewer's gaze and mind towards an original and personal imagination. Surprising and assertive, the “academic” references are renewed in every way by a sensitive and perfectly contemporary eye. Shane Wolf has the art of grabbing us. It stirs up our taste for a pictorial technique

perfect. The painter is recognized and rewarded on numerous occasions. His works enrich numerous international public and private collections. Successively Shane Wolf received the bronze medal at the Carrousel du Louvre (2011), the gold medal at the Salon du Val de Cher (2012), the sought-after “Taylor Prize” during his exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris (2011), he was awarded the Hudson River Fellowship (New York, in 2008 and 2009), he was selected as a finalist at the Salon International de l'Art Renewal Center, New York (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010), also a finalist at the America-China Oil Painting Artists League (2010) among other public citations and recognition. In 2022, he will present a public exhibition at the European Museum of Modern Art in Barcelona (MEAM), as part of his future museum exhibition.

Through a fair balance between pictorial vigor and plastic softness of the bodies, Shane Wolf's subjects certainly reconcile our era with a perfectly figurative art.
